The Beginning of a Pharmaceutical Legacy
Dr. Samuel Abraham, a pharmacist and researcher, developed innovative dental sterilization products used in root canal therapy. His work marked the beginning of the Abraham family's involvement in
the pharmaceutical industry.
1945
Thompson Medical Company
Samuel Abraham acquired the Thompson Medical
Company in Pennsylvania. Its antiseptic product,
San Cura ointment, became a foundational product
that sustained the family’s pharmaceutical business.
1961
Stella Pharmaceutical Is Founded
Samuel Abraham's children Dan and Jerry Abraham established Stella Pharmaceutical in Canada, naming the company in honour of their mother, Stella K. Abraham.
The company began distributing trusted
over-the-counter healthcare products nationwide.

Dodds Brand
Stella acquired the Dodds brand from
DanNorth Laboratories. While the brand
was later discontinued, the acquisition
represented continued expansion of the
company’s healthcare offerings.

Dr. A.W. Chase Medicine Company
Stella acquired the historic Dr. A.W. Chase
Medicine Company, adding a respected portfolio
of herbal remedies widely trusted across
